WE ARE OPEN - COVID-19 Clinic update as of 31st July 2020
Chelmsford Acupuncture Clinic has always made your health our priority. To ensure we protect both ourselves and you, our clients, during this period we are making some changes to the way we practice. These changes allow the clinic to for fill the governments COVID-19 secure criterion and the British Acupuncture Councils Novel Corona virus guidelines. By taking these precautions we believe you can continue to receive high quality treatment whilst minimizing the risk for the most vulnerable clients.
Appointment can be booked in the usual manner, (phone/text/email), however times have changed to allow the room to be comprehensively cleaned and aired out between every client. Unfortunately these changes reduce our appointment capacity, so when booking your flexibility will be greatly appreciated.
Each client will be emailed a Patient Screening form. This form consists of three parts. appointment pre screens, risk assessment and treatment consent. This form needs to be completed and returned the day before treatment. Should this digital format present a problem please call the clinic to make other arrangements.
If you are exhibiting any of the COVID-19 symptoms or just feeling out of sorts please do not come to the clinic. Your appointment can be rescheduled for a more appropriate time without
The symptoms to be aware of:
Persistent new cough.
Loss of smell.
You are requested to arrive for your appointment on time.
If you are likely to be early and the weather is conducive please take a moment before entering the building.
If you are running late please contact the clinic as it may be necessary to reschedule your visit.
Please use the hand sanitizer provided.
The waiting area is still available, but to maintain social distancing, can only be occupied by one person.
During the treatment it will not be possible to maintain social distancing so PPE will be used to minimize risk. Clients are requested to use a face mask or other appropriate facial covering. Should you not have a suitable face covering one can be provided.
Please bring water or any other refreshments with you as we are presently unable to offer anything at the clinic.

Bathroom facilities are still available however please refrain from using them if at all possible.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice due to any health related reason will not be charged. If the appointment has just become inconvenient or overlooked the full fee is due. I greatly appreciate my clients honesty in this situation.
The treatment price is now set at £42.50 per session.
This increase is to help cover the added costs generated by:
Personal Protective Equipment (for both clients and practitioner)
Cleaning before and after each client
Clinical waste disposal
Whilst this price increase is an unwelcome necessity to keep the practice running I still feel the treatment cost is very competitive. Should this increase prevent you accessing our service please talk to Andrew directly.
To aid with social distancing the best way to pay is contactless card, online or via a payment app such as PayM or Pingit.
We will still accept cash payments but these will need to be the exact fee as change will not be available.
